It seems like there are a bunch of solid players that most teams would be happy with, to the point that they may prefer player X over player Y, but not enough to trade what has traditionally been the going rate for movement in the early first round.
It isn't a contract cost of the first few slots, it is just that there aren't a whole lot of players that are that much superior to the rest that they would be worth moving up to get.
If the Chiefs wanted to give it away there would be takers, but I'm just not sure there is a lot of value to the pick.

Yeah, the price might end up being something like swap spots in round 1 and than get a 4th for a 5th type of thing. It depends on how bad a team like the Lions or Eagles like a guy like Joeckel over the other tackles and if they feel the need to make sure they get the player.
Certainly nothing like last year....mind you in last years draft the Chiefs are 100% keeping that pick and Alex Smith is still on the 49'ers.
