Well, it's
not a choice, so you're already wrong. Secondly, I couldn't give a crap about political correctness, it's about treating people as you'd want to be treated. It's as inappropriate to say a gay teammate wouldn't be welcomed as it would be for a gay person to say the same about a straight teammate.

Why do the anti-gay crowd always bring up this meaningless point? Yeah, he said it. He's within his rights to do so. And now we're criticizing him for it / marginalizing him as someone who is on the wrong side of history for his opinions, and we're within our rights to do so.
You can have your opinions, but you being allowed to voice them requires you to respect that everyone else has the same right and their opinions of your opinions might not be favourable.
