I guess the question would be- what burden of proof does somebody need to get the charges reversed? Is it zero liability based on my word alone, or is it zero liability as long as I can prove that I was somewhere else at the time of the transaction? The last time I had an issue with a credit card charge, the CC company told me to contact the merchant. Thank goodness it was Safeway and they took my word that I was charged twice.
Then there is the issue of what happens when your card does get compromised. From what I have heard from others, it can take weeks for money to be put back into your account. Personal experience with a bank error took a couple of days before I could use my debit card again.
Don't get me wrong; part of me likes this idea for the speed and convenience. However that doesn't mean that people cannot have some concerns about the security and function.
