...I don't see how you can see it one way or the other. Seeing as every game is a 4 point game, a loss buries you and a win vaults you.
However, Starting the season...say 0-4-1 would be awfully hard to bounce back because it's effectively starting a regular season with a record along the lines of 0-7-2
...Flames need to start winning friggin' hockey games or they'll bury themselves early.
