I care. I'd rather have a coach from a country with a strong footballing background and the experience in the national leagues to boot.
But by all means, lets get a coach from anywhere. How about Bhutan? How about Bikash Pradhan? Clearly he has the experience and talent to lead the Canadian squad against perrenial powerhouses Mexico and the U.S. for a World Cup slot. He led Yeezdin over Transport United in 2010 to the Bhutan A-Division league title. And if that doesn't work, we shouldn't limit our options - I say we also scour Bangladesh, Mongolia, Vanuatu and the Vatican for quality coaching.
We need a coach from a footballing country, that has been in the trenches with the best.
While your country-neutral position is noble, it doesn't make sense when clearly there are about 15-20 nations with the top tier of coaches.
