This isn't 1990, teams are competing with guys who actually can play hockey and contribute to the team not fill a niche role for 5 minutes a game.

It makes your priority, bias, etc pretty obvious. You say you want players better than Aliu and then use the depth we had as an argument against him. If you were more of a fan you'd be hoping for him to mature and turn into a really great grinder. Obviously you don't like him, don't wish him the best or don't want certain Flames prospects to turn out. Everyone else can see it but you I guess.

I watched him play in the NHL and it wasn't anything impressive.
Laugh at the "more of a fan" BS. It doesn't make you more of a fan to blindly believe that everyone in the organization is great.
