What is troubling about Muslims is the lack of voice from what you would think would be the peace loving majority. This hateful minority seems comfortable sharing the same houses of worship and walking in the larger Muslim community.

If Skin heads or the Klan started marching in our streets there would be a counter march planned; There would be public out rage; There would be letters to the local papers and negative news stories. Christians wouldn't be alone in these protests but, they would be well represented.
You think Salafists worship with Barelvis outside shrines in Pakistan? In most cases, extremists do not share the same places of worship as moderates. This is the same with every religion, including Christianity, including in the United States.

As for staging counter protests against the Klan, I agree to some degree, though the Klan isn't able to respond to the counter-march with AKs, kidnappings, beheadings, and suicide vests.
