If you're willing to write off 20% of the value of your $25,000 car the second you drive off the lot because you want a new car (ignoring the fact that it becomes a used car one minute after you've owned it), you hardly come from a reasonable point of view to tell me all about the money you're saving because you get 10 more miles per gallon than I do. You'll never make up the difference in cost versus buying used.
