I think one of the achievements of this movie is that Nolan has left the franchise and story in a really great state so that whoever comes along next to make Batman movies can continue things, or go in just about any direction. A standard reboot isn't necessary.

Having said that, as previously mentioned Nolan has planned for this to be his last Batman movie.
