Then they haul out that flash mob lady who starts running around the stage yelling MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY!! SINGLE!! DOUBLE!! YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!! GREAT JOB!!
WTF was that crap? This is the 100 year anniversary and they are parading around crap like that? Thankfully it got much better when Paul took the stage and some of the older "young Canadians" started doing famous female country singer songs was great but holy crap. Dance music/neon costumes? What does that have to do with the Stampede?
I was expecting much better than that.

Oh god, the flashmob lady scared us away within the first 5 minutes. We had every intention of sticking around for at least part of the grandstand show on Thursday night but as soon as the flashmob lady came out and started showing the crowd how to move their hands left to right we were out.
I've seen the Grandstand show once before and I don't recall it being
that cheesy/childish the first time. Yeah it was a little on the vanilla/family time side before, but not quite that opening of "hey kids! Do you know what a flashmob is?!?!"
