Hey gang. I have a set of
Edifier S330D speakers that supply a breakout volume control knob complete with headphone and mic input mini jacks.
The speakers have stopped working, and I'm positive it's something to do with the headphone-detection circuitry being stuck 'on'.
I took the volume control unit apart and in playing around with it got some sound from the speakers but nothing consistent. I can't seem to find the 'trigger' for this. In researching this headphone detection seems to be a circuit, not a physical connection made when a mini jack is inserted.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
