RvP was basically the only striker in the fold last year and I can see Poldi being used more of a replacement for Arshavin than RvP. As such, Giroud would be the back-up since Wegner looks to be having a bit of a cull up front (i.e. Bendtner, Chamakh, Park, and Vela).

It's possible but I don't see it
Giroud wouldn't leave the French champions when he is set to push for a starting spot in the French lineup leading up to the world cup to be a backup, he's also entering what should be the prime of his career
With Ox/Walcott/Gervinho they have a lot of attacking options behind the striker, I think those 4 rotate with Podolski also playing Striker
I wouldn't say it's 100% that he goes, just that Wenger seems to planning for him to leave (when he didn't at all for Fabregas)
