Glendale City Councilman Phil Lieberman this week urged members of the Glendale Tea Party Patriots to show up en masse at an upcoming council meeting to oppose a pending deal on the Phoenix Coyotes.

"I need all of your help at a council meeting in the very near future," Lieberman told tea party members on Wednesday.

"Jamison wants a large fortune from the city and unbelievably four or more of the council members are willing to give him that money because they are in a mad protection of the arena and Westgate."

The Glendale Tea Party Patriots . . . which became more vocal last year over the city's sports spending, meets at a Denny's restaurant.
