Not a critism, however the North Korean Leadership is absolutely loaded with members of the Kim family, its not just Kim Jung-un that runs the country.

The real power brokers at the moment are in the background running the transition.

Kim Jung-Il's daughter, Kim Sul-song is very powerful, she basically runs the propaganda department and is thought to be a heavy hitter in North Korea's internal security apparatus. Ironically she is filling the same role the Kim Jung-Il did before he ascended to the role of Party Central.

His son Kim Jong-Nam made famous for his attempt to go to Disney Land has fallen out of favor both for the trip and the fact that he basically is one of the few reformers in that family

Kim Kyong-hui is the daughter of Kim Il-sung, she is extremely powerful and is a member of the inner circle in Korea. She was repeatedly spotted standing behind Kim Jung-Un at the funeral of her father and is thought to be a key policy maker in the party. Her husband Jang Sung-taek is considered the second most powerful person in North Korea and heads their armed forces committee.

Basically there isn't an easy way to dislodge the Kim dynasty without the aid of the army, and the army is extremely loyal to the Kim's and run directly by a Kim

The daughter is in the background. She's considered to be very beautiful and the most ruthless of the next generation of the Kims.

She should have been named the successor, but her sex probably eliminated her from an open leadership role

Kim Jong-Il's sister to the left at the funeral

Great site on North Korean Leadership
