It's definitely starting to look that way. Minor Hockey in Calgary has always been a league where a big hit equals a penalty. This year its basically any hit is a penalty.
The reffing this year has been the worst i've ever seen. It has never been good in Calgary but this year its definitely been special and in the fact the refs are basically told they can do no wrong and wham penalty filled games where they cant even explain why they are calling something.
The refs dont even seem to know the rules anymore. For instance did you know the crease isnt just the blue paint but the blue line around the crease as well. The suggestion that that extra line is for ringette was responded with youre an idiot.
And really no more Esso for Novice?
