You could argue the same with the MMA stuff though in terms of concussions, we've had a lot longer to see the effects of concussions on boxers, and they're wearing heavily padded gloves. With MMA still being relatively new, I think you'll start seeing long term debilitating injuries from that sport as well.
And yeah, I used to love boxing, but the problem is that the day of the entertaining heavyweight is gone and there's really nothing in the pipe.
As much as people claim to like watching boxing as the sweet science that is done in the lighter divisions, you still want to see the ferocious knockout power of a Mike Tyson or Ali.
But Boxing needs to be consolidated, and it needs to be cleaned up corruption wise.
