I found it surprisingly snappy on a 3GS, so on a 4 it should be fine. I would recommend a hard restart maybe (hold down home and lock buttons together until
after the apple logo shows up and it powers down completely).

One big problem I know for people who use BB's is that many of their main contacts use them, so the lack of BBM makes the transition difficult. I only know one person (sister in law) who switched back to a BB from an iPhone because she was in oil and gas and all of her contacts relied on BBM.
