As for the manufacturer, short of bolting the strap down (which is done on some models with the high point harness) there's nothing you can do. It's a clip, and like any clip if you hit it hard enough it will pop off.

I have no idea what your point is in the second sentence. First you're saying he didn't lead with his head, now you're saying you always lead with your head. Which one is it? He came through with both his head and his shoulder, like I said they are not mutually exclusive. I don't think it was a dirty hit, and with the receiver lowering his body position and the speed of the play there wasn't much he could have done differently, but it's not a terrible call by any means.
