Seems like a big step down for UT in football though doesn't it? They're going from an elite conference to one that has been a massive underachiever.
The whole thing is crazy at this point. I'm really interested to see what the Big Ten does. They have the financial ability to dictate a lot of how this plays out if they so choose, but as of yet seem content to sit on the sidelines. I imagine they'd love to have Texas but the LHN really throws a wrench into that. OU would be a decent fit, but if they want to stick with OSU it's likely a no go as the academic credentials just aren't there. ND is obviously out there as an intriguing candidate, but who knows with them. I wouldn't be surprised to see Pitt and Syracuse as potential Big Ten members, quality academically and they would turn Big Ten basketball into arguably the best conference in the country.
