The so called originals released on DVD are a sad attempt by Lucas to trick us into thinking we were getting them in a semi watchable format. Might as well be watching on VHS because they're pretty much the same.
They're not even formatted for 16:9, no 5.1 etc.
So maybe next time before you run you're mouth you should actually find out what the #### you're droning on about.

I'm sorry you said you wanted the original films in their original condition, right? Can you explain to me where in 1977 when there was no Episode IV A New Hope title that the fim was shown in 5.1 sound? Please, I'm waiting.
So now that you thought about it (or rather didn't) which is it you want. The films the way they were shown on screens (poorly lit, mono sound, scrathes, jump cuts, improper framing) or do you want the original versions altered to what you think they should be? Make up your mind or shut your trap.
These aren't a trick in any way. They are what is left of the first theatrical editions. you know the ones so many waste hours and days bitching and monaing on the internet about wanting. But when presented with the option to buy them, and sorry the excuse about not knowing they existed is pathetic as they were everywhere and reduced in price to below $10 each, you didn't buy. You just ran home to cry that they didn't ALTER the films to make them better, in your eyes. but I've seen many of your posts before, Flip, and I know how very very low I value your opinion on pretty much everything. So cry on while I enjoy Han being frozen in carbonite in 1080p with dts-HD surround.
