Some are, some aren't. It (n*gger) certainly doesn't have the power it used to. And there has been much written on this and how and why it happened.

Now I do agree that the extreme public displays might distance some that normally wouldn't be distanced, and I do agree that the movement might benefit more from toning it down to get the most important and serious messages through. But at the end of the day I cant fault the extreme displays because they are a natural reaction to being persecuted.

EDIT: And personally, I don't mind it anyway. And at one day a year I would suggest it's not a lot to put up with for those that do.
