The issue with Pelech isn't just his age, but his total lack of progression at the AHL level. Pardy rapidly moved his way up the depth chart as a pro. Pelech has merely spun his wheels.
Add in his on-going injury issues and I'd be surprised if the Flames bother to offer him anything more than an AHL contract this year. I remember when Feaster was asked about Pelech at some point during the season and he sounded less than impressed.
