neither, the general consensus generated by several psychological studies contend that marijuana use increases the likelihood of schizophrenia being unlocked in individuals that are genetically susceptible or more likely to get it. Basically every human has a certain likelihood of getting schizophrenia, some more than others based on their genetics, but it is the genetics (nature) as well as an individuals lifestyle (nurture) that determines whether they get schizophrenia. You might be very resistant to it and have no family history but if you are extremely stressed, extremely unhealthy and you take a lot of psychoactives your odds go through the roof.
