When I bought a new car a few months ago (just a Civic, not even new either) I contemplated it for 2 months even though I needed a new car and even my parents told me to buy a new car. Then after I bought it, I had buyers remorse for 2 months after I got it, even though it was the best deal I had found for 2 months.

Heh I'm a bit like this too, so I go to extreme lengths to try and avoid buyer's remorse, spending FAR more time on shopping for something than I could ever save finding a deal sometimes, or spending days researching options to make sure I'm getting the best receiver / TV / video card / phone plan / couch / whatever.
I can't stand shopping for things like mattresses where they intentionally create millions of models unique to each chain making it impossible to compare them directly.
