So you're basically admitting that the whole idea of this is to have fun, and that awareness is secondary? Explain to me again how this doesn't marginalize the cause.

Because it encourages people to do nothing, so long as what they're doing POTENTIALLY leads to someone else doing something. We should be encouraging the people who actually do get involved.
