Other than that I breeze through security quite quickly. If you properly prepare for it (remove belt, shoes, watch and loose change) and opt for a scan instead of patdown (if asked) you'll never have a problem. Metal detectors never go off, security usually sees you know what you're doing, and they leave you alone. I'm also quite pleasant to them, which they appreciate.
I can guarantee that if you look like you just came off a bender, try to wear sunglasses while in security, and act like a knob they will absolutely without a doubt mess with you.

From what I have heard, it has gotten a lot worse since the beginning of November. Maybe they have some information that they can't divulge right now, but it sounds like things are being taken to a new level with Thanksgiving travel coming up.
