This pisses me off with anything. There should almost be a standardized time that companies have to fully stand by their products.
Seems like most cell-contracts are 3 years, so I would suggest 3 years would be a good amount.
Even with that, I ride my phones until I lose/break them or they are simply too outdated. I had my moto razr phone (one of the first I believe) for 3-4 years before it broke on me and I bought my 3gs
Didn't the same thing happen to 3g iphone owners? They could upgrade to os4, but it wasn't recommended and ran like shiat for anyone who did.
