How is it not fair? They are #3 in the country now. Even if you slide them down to a 6-10 seed in a 16 team deal (As an example only) at least they still have an equal shot at playing for the championship....something that no other non-BCS conference school can say in the current system unless they are ranked REALLY high to start the season like BS this year.
And again, the same NCAA group that seemingly cant figure this out...HAS THE SYSTEM in place already and uses it every year for the FBS schools. Its assinine.
Again...I understand there is no perfect system that addresses all concerns...but no one will ever convince me that playoff system would be a more undesirable option than the joke that is in place now. IMO...its impossible to argue otherwise.

You're going to risk a playoff spot by playing more tough OOC games? SOS means something now since only 2 teams get in, it won't mean as much if 16 teams make the playoffs. Look at the NCAA basketball regular season, nobody cares.
BCS ensures 2 big conference undefeated teams (or close to it) teams in the big final. All the BCS title games so far have been classics. Leave it the way it is.
You should present a detail playoff format and we'll debate it
I just think a playoff is logistically unworkable in the college system when you have over 100 teams.
