Its not worth it because the US government, with all politicians included are the reason the US is where they are. That includes the GOP, AND the DNC.

Warren Buffet lately came out and said he pays 17.5% of his income to taxes. Going rate for most people is 30%. He then challenged anyone on the Forbes 400 list to disprove him, saying he would donate $1 million dollars to a charity of their choice if they could prove him wrong. Nobody took him up on his offer.

Now, I'm not a big believer in taxes, but if you are going to have a tax code, it should be as fair as possible, and on a personal level, either everyone pays the 17%, or everyone pays the 30%.

What has the DNC ever done to fix that? What has the GOP ever done to fix that? They CREATED it.

As for the rest of the problems the US has, the biggest one that lead to this recession was the banking laws, which trace back to the days of Jimmy Carter. How about you go look that up and come back and tell me that the DNC has their hands clean when it comes to screwing over the US?

Two differing philosophies about the role of government, I'll accept that.
Actually, no. My philosophy on government does not revolve around the Glenn Beck love-in. I have never listened the man, nor have I ever watched his show in my entire life. I do not particularly like his 'style', but I would imagine that a lot of the things he does bring up are valid. Much like what people like Maddow said after the invasion of Iraq were also valid, or her disagreement with different Bush policies over the years(NCLB).

That said - Perhaps you could tone down the accusations and trouncing people with leftist stereotypes (ex. 9-11, 'enlightened', etc.). It immediately raises the hostility level. It also might do you some good to realize right wing talk radio is, without any thread of doubt, more destructive to a national conversation about moving past ideological differences than anything put forward by other types of radio programs (yes, Rachel Maddow included). I'm sure Beck himself would say he's more condescending in the way he speaks than almost anyone else on radio. I probably won't respond to anything you're going to say to me after this post, because, frankly, you're impossible to get through to.
When people want to deny that the 'left-wing' has had their share of lunatics over the years, it comes across that one side puts themselves up on a pedestal, where they're the holy ones, they're the enlightened ones, and their side never did anything wrong, and yet those evil right-wing scumbags.

Secondly, when you're the one who keeps starting threads about Glenn Beck, or any other of these 'right-wing' talk show hosts, don't start crying to me how they should be ignored. Like I said, I don't listen to Beck. I don't listen to Coulter. I don't listen to Hannity. When I want to be amused I listen to Micheal Savage and laugh while he bitches about the world. I don't subscribe to their POV, because those are the SAME people who defended Bush when he carried out many of the SAME policies that the DNC just keep supporting.

If you believe that Beck is so damaging to the 'people', and he needs to be ignored, why do you bring him up?

I said it in a different post. If not for CP, I wouldn't even have known there is a rally.
