I guess one thing you should know is, education status is a big thing down here. (Note I said education status, not just education). Upper middle-class can pull out 300-600k for their kid to go to a nice school, but they don't do it easily - this is like their life savings. Especially for students from India, a lot of them spend their family fortune on university.

I am a little surprised to see so few people have <300k or <500k. Isn't that sort of... scary? Not in terms of bragging wealth, but thats nothing for retirement.
