I really like the book
The Millionaire Next Door. It talks about the characteristics of people with net worths over $1 million. A lot of high-income people don't look like what you may expect a high-income person to look like (they don't drive prestigious cars, live in lavish houses, wear designer clothes, etc.). And often the people that wear the fancy brands and lease the ritzy cars can least afford it (low net worth people, or people spending high relative to their income).
Also your typical millionaire, according to the book, is a small business owner.
