It's very frustrating for me as a prospect watcher. This was supposed to be the season where we figure out who will be a fit for the future. Arencibia is more than ready for his shot, all three starting OFs in AA should be in AAA, Jeroloman should be in AAA... sigh. I understand the concept of not rushing prospects, but prospects -tell you- when they're ready. That much we know as box score watchers.
Speaking of prospects, Marisnick went 2/3 in his debut in Lansing (A). And even scarier, Kevin Ahrens went 2/2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. It's likely it's the best game of his minor league career, and as I said on another site, if he manages to finish the season with a .710 OPS, it would've meant he hit .850ish almost all the rest of the way. Next year will be his shot to see if his mental setbacks are gone.
