Yup, which would be a huge black eye for Apple so they will never do it.
Might be a business opportunity for someone to offer up coated replacement antenna.

Just saying that the bad press really isn't that bad.. when making a purchasing decision evaluating things in context is better.. the antenna thing might be annoying, but does it actually impact day to day usage? Are the defective screens actually defective? Or is the rate of defective screens higher than what is to be expected in mass manufacturing? Etc..

Makes me wonder if there's a hardware revision on the 3G or something, why some people would experience such a significant difference while others don't.
