That was the first tornado my Mom had ever seen, and she's been here 22 years. They thought it was a lot closer to them than it was. I wonder if that is more due to the physics involved (height of the clouds, viewing over town) or just the excitement of such an event.
I still haven't seen one and would love to from a safe distance and where no one loses property, but I don't intend on living here 22 years to do it!
