I agree with Locke, the best character was the Colonel. What a bad ass dude. Check out the guns on that 50 year old guy. I think I have a man crush. Eww.
I'm sure the experience is incredible in 3d on the big screen. I think it is being re-released this summer. If so, I will make an effort to go and see it.
Otherwise, it's a mediocre movie. And so is the hurt locker. If those are your choices for best movie, then the past year must have been pretty crappy for movies.

I havent seen Hurtlocker, so whatever, but Avatar blew. I could write a whole diatribe as to why, but that'd just get me all worked up for no good reason.
Anyways, after about the first hour I was hoping that that Colonel guy won. Blow up their crappy tree, bulldoze what they love. End this abortion of a film.

That is absolutely ######ed. I cant judge it based on DVD? Why not? Thats how I judge EVERY OTHER MOVIE.
Avatar is not special, the fact that it 'must' be seen in ultra HD revolutionary 7 dimensional technology with eleventy five billion colour super amazing awesome techno vision on a screen the size of the Empire State Building is just BS to distract you from the fact that it sucked.
