I see some fellow Packer fans on here...nice.
Igniter i also note that you werent thrilled with the Bulaga pick, but it really was a no-brainer in the end...and this coming from a guy that liked Wilson as much as anyone. He fills a glaring need on a team that was brutal at pass protect for most of last year, and at a position that has a 33 year old and a 34 year old as its depth. The comments from the ESPN guys were hilarious. Young said " i dont know if i have ever seen a player that looks more like a Green Bay packer than this guy" and then someone else chimed in with "he looks like he is ready to go curling". I laughed. Gotta remember that Kirk Ferentz is a guy that produces NFL ready O-liners year after year. He was not only a safe pick, but a guy that will play no doubt.
Anyhoo, here is the skinny on the big guy from Scouts inc.
Pros: Works from the snap until the whistle and gives same effort when Iowa runs to the opposite side as he does when Iowa runs behind him. Short-term memory and doesn't appear to dwell on mistakes. Gets set quickly, locks out arms and can ride explosive edge rushers past the pocket. Shows excellent body control and footwork when forced to redirect. Active and strong hands.
Cons: Can be a step late sliding off combo block and covering up linebacker. Doesn't always show great spatial awareness as a zone blocker or take sound angles to downfield blocks. Vulnerable to some spin moves and needs to do a better job of handling power-to-speed moves. Must continue to improve lower-body strength in order to anchor better versus bull rush.
