Haha oh whatever. I'm in my mid 20's and am a History major. Believe me, realism is my #1 request when watching a war movie. It's why I thought 300 was garbage. It was one of my complaints with this episode, because I wanted to see
more of war-era Melbourne, to get a feel for its culture and what the people were like. All I really felt we saw after the harbour was the inside of a bar while they picked up chicks, and then the Italian family's backyard. I'm fine with the slow moving, character building episodes, I just don't wanna watch an hour of a romance. I've already seen Pearl Harbour.
I'm fine with them showing Lucky build a relationship with that girl, but did it have to be the whole episode?? Why couldn't it be part, hell even half of it if you must, and then the rest show other troops going around Melbourne checking it out, maybe even being big men on campus at the bars, as I'm sure a lot of them were doing this as well, and not just falling in love with a particular girl and having tender, soft, Paschendale style sex with them. Anyways I'm not going to go on and on about how it sucked, as there's enough people in this thread ragging on Pacific and I'm one of its supporters. I'll just leave it as this episode sucked.
On a side note, no wonder Lucky was pissed off. An Italian-Aussie family let him live in their house, fed him amazing food, and let him nail their hot daughter. Dude had it made in the shade.
