Let's just hope he finds a role where he can excel -- do some serious work with Morrow on the forecheck and wear down oppostion D down low.
Part of Yzerman's mission was obviously to bring in the next generation. It's true Stamkos might have been a better choice in that regard, but while St. Louis is a better player, where does he play? I'd agree I'd love to see him replace Perry, but the familiarity argument isn't a bad one.
Bottom line, this group is more than good enough on paper to get it done (even with Pronger). It's time for them to get it together. They will.
