If you guys don't like this game, I'd just stop buying the NHL series. The game is the best hockey game ever released, it's extremely realistic and has amazing freedom of controls for a sports game. No game in the near future will be able to recreate hockey perfectly. So just be happy that this game comes pretty damn close.
Extremely realistic? Players in hockey do not sit there jabbing at the puck with one hand on their stick. If you play anyone that is any good, their players look like the paddles of a pin ball machine. They also aren't able to take people that are 5 feet ahead of them with a full head of steem into the boards from behind.

You must be kidding me about the glitches. wrap arounds, the long wrist shot, the slapshot from the top of the circles, the ability to draw the computer into taking a penalty, ability for online players to crash your XBOX, etc....

Learn to protect the puck? I'd venture that outside of Jaeyns, there would be very few people on this board that could beat me in a game of it, let alone a series. I never take penalties (although anytime I play anyone half decent, the computer likes to take 4-5 for me).

This game is a lamer version of 2009 which was a revolutionary game. It's 2009 at half the speed, with some annoyances added that take away from the autheticity of the game (IE. the joke board play, and poke fest). When's the last time to seen an NHL player pin himself to the board as an move to get around a defender i the offensive end?
