Yes, that would be a very appropriate punishment. A common sense punishment.
but then, the school would have gotten an angry call from the parents demanding to know why their precious snowflake was made to do manual labor during her break time. The parents would demand the teacher be fired for punishing their snowflake in such a demeaning way, etc.
So, if you are going to get this kind of exaggerated response no matter what, might as well make the punishment fit the response from the parents.
