While I'm inclined to agree that Lost has had the best finales of any TV show, I mean the season 5 finale might be my favourite TV episode ever. Part of what makes them great is that they end with over arching questions, questions on a new direction or story line. You're sitting there going "what the Hell? I can't believe this happened, now what's up with that angle?" Whereas with the series finale you lose that element, which makes me cautious. It'll probably be the weakest of the season finales. Mind you Abrams seems to bring it for the finales, so who knows? I like that he has a direction and plan. So very well might be amazing. I think he'll leave it open to interpretation, I read an article saying they want people talking about it like the ending of the Sopranos.

Frankly, I think that would be an unreal ending. I have a warped sense of humour, and that would make me laugh thinking of how pissed everyone would be. Actually, now I want to see a series do that.
