Exactly. In the absence of a cure, the best thing to do is prevention. Which is exactly what this was about - Reminding women to get tested.
If this campaign causes even One woman to go get tested who wouldn't have otherwise, and that woman's life is saved because of it, then it's all worth it. Early detection is SOOOOOOO important when it comes to breast cancer.
