It all started with Ellen coming out of the closet way back when. Like we couldn't tell she was making out with the bearded clam anyways! Then that nudist Richard guy on the original Survivor....which I quit watching after the first season by the way. Recently it was big news that Brian Burkes kid was gay.....
You mean you didn't hear all the hoopla about Adam Lambert making out with a dude on stage at the Amercian Music Awards? I don't watch American Idol but that is where he came from. Anyways after that a bunch of his appearances at other shows were cancelled, and there was "outrage" about the "discrimination".....gay characters have even appeared in my favourite show Two and a Half Men! The one place I thought was free of gay propaganda.....it seems I just can't get away from it.......

It just doesn't seem like a big deal at all. I think you mentioned every big homosexual pop culture reference. Ellen came out 13 years ago!
I knew Lambert was on idol and that he kissed a dude at an awards show, but beyond that I probably couldn't pick him out of a lineup. I remember some hoopla, but truthfully I don't see a big deal. I've been in situations where I've seen guys make out with girls and guys make out with other guys ... both make me a little uncomfortable from the standpoint that I don't like public affection.
I don't really feel it fair if I attack you too much on your position. How you feel about gays is pretty much how I feel about rednecks and religious people, so we'll just continue to disagree.

To me this is key. It's similar to using the old gem "I'm not a racist but ..." and then saying something incredibly racist.
