I would dare you, your buddy or anyone on this board to go to the driving range and practice/play like a pro. Monday-Wednesday, you need to hit about 500 balls a day, practice putting for 1-1.5hrs a day, don't forget your chipping for at least 45-60min a day, and then Thursday-Sunday go walk the course (even have a pull cart or someone carry your clubs). Now do it all again for a month and let me know how your body feels. Since it's not a sport or that strenuous this should be an easy task for those who believe that. However I bet day two on the range you walk off that practice tee in pain.
Ya!!! And the pros, when they walk the course, don't do half the walking I do! When I walk the course, I usually walk the WHOLE course!. From the tee box, its 200 yards off to the right where I usually slice my ball, then from there its 150 yards to the sand trap on the left hand side of the fairway, then, after a couple strokes later trying to get my ball out of the sand, its another 125 yards towards the green ( ... and ending up 20 yards behind the green in the trees), then its a short chip into the water in front of the green, then I have to walk all around the other side of the water hazard to play my ball, then on the next shot I finally hit it onto the green and leave myself with a short 50 ft putt.... then 3 strokes later I'm in the hole!

Try 18 holes of that!!!!
