I noticed this too. My wife was holding our little guy at the time and I think she had a very hard time with the scene. Not that it wouldn't be hard for people not in that situation, but it definitely got to us in a way it wouldn't have last year. Quick heads-up to any dads to be: fatherhood turns you into a blubbering vagina. I get choked up 100x's more than I used to.
Shame Rita actress lady dropped that comment in the interview. That's not cool. I don't like the "watch this episode because somethings going to happen that you'll never see coming!". I always think of something unexpected and it ends up happening.
Whe I was a youngin I loved Robin Hood: Prince of Theives (commense judgement). Costner did "The Bodyguard" after that. I wanted to see it because robin hood created a strange man-crush on Costner (you may continue judging, or start a new judging session). Before sitting down to watch it, my dad (who'd seen it on an airplane) says "he dies at the end." knowing full well he wouldn't say that if it was truthful, the end bothered me because I knew damn well nothing was going to happen to him. That was the start of my spoiler sensitivity. Yes I see the irony of spoiling the ending to "the bodyguard" ... but c'mon.
