I live in Okotoks and work in the SE industrial area. Having a 4x4 gives me a certain sense of security in snowy conditions, when driving the hwy back and forth from Okotoks.... way better than any two wheel drive vehicle (even
with winter tires).
Don't get me wrong... winter tires are great, but 4 wheel drive with winter tires is even better... and even without winter tires, 4 wheel drive beats two wheel drive hands down. I have that security knowing that if something unexpected happens and I have to bail for the ditch, I can power myself back out again onto the pavement.
