Pretty much everyone who has dealt with him has said differently. He isn't the typical athlete and is a great community guy who is great with young fans.
Also, many players who played with him said he was a great leader.
I guess if you think leadership is overrated in general then I understand but not sure why Jeter's leadership in particular would be in question.
He is a great player who has played for great teams. He plays well when it counts and seems to come up big when his team needs him. He may not be an all-time great but he certainly is one of the top players of his era and deserving of every accolade that he gets.
