Yes, our back yard.

I opened the door and went out but had the door open behind me as momma was circling about 30 feet away . . . . and blasted a few flash shots.

I had both cubs seriously crying a couple of nights later outside my window - wah, wah, wah - when I was lying in bed giggling. I had put some plastic stuff around the trunk of the tree so they couldn't climb it . . . . they were seriously breaking all the branches and destroying the tree. But the tears were mine in the end when they finally ripped the stuff off and climbed it anyway. Fortunately, the trees are recovering.

But that was the point of the original post . . . . protect the trees and worry about the poop as an afterthought. The poop disappears into the grass soon enough anyway. Except bear poop. That's a lot of shovelling.
