Our education system does not teach kids to think, it prepares them for the work force, nothing more.

Well... we are all going to die and yes, a lot of us die from incidental or opportunistic bacterial or viral infection. Do you know how quickly viruses and bacteria reproduce...? Do you know anything about point mutations and evolution?
Locke was right. Your science teachers should be locked away.
As for a good education, I took political philosophy, going into grad school. I work in project management. No connection between the two.
