The Title sequence I thought was great, but then again I know all the rapid back story in context. Love the Kennedy part of the title sequence too. Not that I care but violence and gore was upped a bit from the book, which is fine I guess.
I agree about the soundtrack, perfect fit. It is, after all, set in the 1980s and about middle-aged characters who were nostalgic for the time of their prime. So it makes sense that for the 68 year-old Comedian's last fight, the music would be a jazz standard evocative of the 1940s and 50s, for the sex scene in which the two lovers in their 40s are dressed in the costumes of their youth, the music would be a 1960s Leonard Cohen song.

I think I enjoyed Rorschach more in the movie than in the novel, the character was just so well done, especially in prison. And I was amused by Danny Woodburn (Mickey from Seinfeld) as one of the small-time villains.
